Born and raised in Punxsutawney, PA, Daniel R. Mahan obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Business Administration from the University of La Verne. A retired Supply Corps Commander, he had four active duty tours onboard ships as well as several reserve tours throughout the country. Dan began his contracting career as a contract specialist at Naval Air Warfare Center Point Mugu in 1991, served as an acquisition director for Naval Surface Warfare Center Port Hueneme Division 2007-2008, and as a Contracting Officer for Fleet Logistics Center San Diego from 2008 until accepting the position as Deputy for Small Business at NSWC Port Hueneme in 2020. He is a credentialed Small Business Professional. Dan resides in Camarillo, CA with his wife, Jacqui. They have two grown sons – Malachi, a sales manager and ESPN field hockey analyst and Jacob, a contract specialist with NAVFAC. In his off time, Dan follows the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Penn State football, and enjoys vacations to Hawaii.
