Carl Knoblock is a dedicated public servant and accomplished professional with a diverse background in business and community service. Currently serving as the District Director for the Small Business Administration (SBA) in Virginia, Carl oversees operations and initiatives that support the growth and success of small businesses across 92 counties in the state. In his role, Carl leads a team that provides a wide range of essential services to entrepreneurs and small business owners. The office under his leadership offers funding programs, counseling services, federal contract certifications, disaster recovery assistance, and valuable referrals. By leveraging these resources, Carl and his team empower local businesses to thrive, contribute to the economy, and create job opportunities. Recognizing the unique economic advantages of Virginia, Carl focuses on key areas that align with the state’s strengths. These include inward migration, science and technology, arts and culture, and maximizing the benefits of Virginia’s geography. By strategically supporting businesses in these sectors, Carl aims to drive sustainable economic growth and foster a vibrant business ecosystem throughout the region. Prior to his current role, Carl served as the district director for the Western Pennsylvania SBA district office, where he gained valuable experience in supporting small businesses and fostering economic development. Additionally, Carl has held C-Level executive positions in innovative startups, bringing his entrepreneurial mindset and business acumen to the table. Before joining the SBA, Carl Knoblock founded his own venture in the manufacturing sector, demonstrating his ability to navigate the challenges of starting and growing a business. Furthermore, his commitment to serving others is evident in his decade-long tenure as a foster parent, where he positively impacted the lives of numerous children.
