Jed Mandel is president of the Truck and Engine Manufacturers Association, which represents manufacturers of commercial vehicles and of engines used in many of them, including trucks and buses. Mandel has been involved in every major regulatory, legislative and judicial matter affecting engines and emissions since 1977, appearing before Congress, state legislative bodies and state and federal agencies, and has served on numerous federal advisory committees. He was instrumental in negotiating the removal of sulfur from diesel fuel, the historic Tier IV nonroad emission regulations, the first heavy-duty vehicle and engine GHG standards and other rules.
