Thais is an innovative, dedicated and student-centered educator for grades 9-12 with over a decade of experience as a biomedical engineer. She is currently Co-Director of Robotics, Engineering, and Computer Science Education at an all girls school. Thais inspires young women to enter the engineering, technology, and computer science fields. She is an advisor and coach for the VEX Robotics program, Solar Car team, and SWENext (Society of Women Engineers) club. Most recently, she created her school’s makerspaces and implemented spatial computing technology in her classroom with MagicLeap and Anatomy X. Connect with her on Twitter @thaisdlp.
