Carlos de la Camara is a Science Curriculum Support Specialist at Miami-Dade County Public Schools. He inspires teachers and students in 6-12 Science through professional development and school site support. He was named 2019 Middle School Science teacher of the year. Carlos’ passion is to motivate learning through STEAM instruction. A pedagogy aficionado, he is always searching for innovative ways provide high quality programs to all students. He is an advocate to underserved communities and has worked with Title 1 students for many of his 19 years of teaching. His mantra is, “It is a privilege to have these souls entrusted to me and it is my hope that what I do makes a difference.”[
