Steve Haas has been an acoustic and audio designer and calibrator for more than three decades and is an expert at creating optimal quality and control of sound in a wide variety of residential and commercial spaces. He is the CEO and Principal Consultant for SH Acoustics, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Steve and SHA have been involved in the design, engineering and calibration of over a thousand home theaters, 2-channel listening rooms, live music practice/performance rooms and a myriad of other unique spaces in high-end homes throughout the world. His achievements in museums to raise the bar in sound quality and inclusive design for exhibit and immersive based environments has allowed him and his team to be involved in various major Smithsonian museums, the Country Music Hall of Fame, the new Obama Presidential Center and many other prestigious institutions. When not helping others with their sound, he is creating his own as an accomplished keyboardist, playing with a variety of local CT bands and CEDIA’s own All Star Band.
