Troy A. Cobb currently works in several roles for Digital Projection: Staging Program Manager, Training & Application Support Manager, and LED Applications/Sales Support Lead. Troy received his Associates of Science degree from Southern Polytechnic State University in Marietta, GA. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Phoenix. Troy also earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree from Antioch Midwestern University in Yellow Springs, OH. During a 10-year career as a United States Marine where Staff Sergeant Cobb served in many roles to include: Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) repair/calibration technician and Electronics Instructor for the TMDE school. After Troy’s career with the Marines, he went to work for Barco, Inc. in Kennesaw, GA. His career at Barco started as a Bench Technician working on Barco’s complete line of video projectors to include such technologies as CRT, LCD, and DLP. He also excelled in roles as a Training Specialist, Technical Support Specialist, Sales Engineer, and Customer Service Manager. After leaving Barco, Troy spent some time with a then start-up, Mechdyne Corporation of Marshalltown, Iowa. Mechdyne is now one of the world’s foremost integration companies. Troy served many roles at Mechdyne to include: Systems Integration Manager, Service Manager, and Corporate Trainer. At Mechdyne, Troy was instrumental in the delivery of state-of-the-art 3D visualization systems designed for the GM Corporation. After leaving Mechdyne, Troy went back to the manufacturing side of the industry with his current employer, Digital Projection. At DPI, Troy spent his first four years as Technical Services Manager where he oversaw several teams: Lamp production team, Technical Support, and Quality Control. In 2016, Mr. Cobb successfully completed his InfoComm International – Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) exam.
