Janeen Gaskins is the Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of G.A.S.K.I.N.S. Charity, a new non-profit providing vulnerable populations with lifestyle convenience through designs engineered to integrate and automate smart spaces that improve safety, enhance health, increase socialization, advance productivity, and ensures a better quality of life. Prior to starting her own nonprofit, Janeen was the owner, Vice President and Chief Operations Officer of Shakatronics Audio Video LLC., a for profit technology solutions integration company for 12 years. Mrs. Gaskins brough a unique administrative skillset to the organization. She has a master’s degree in Environmental Planning from Arizona State University College of Architecture and Environmental Design. She has more than 20 years of professional experience in contracting services with municipal governments, schools, and non-profits. She received her Grant Professional Certification from the Grant Professional Certification Institute in 2009; Certified Public Manager certificate in 2008; Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Bachelor of Arts in African American studies from SUNY Albany in 1995. Janeen was born and raised in New York and now lives with her family in the Litchfield Park area. Janeen is currently involved in Consumer Electronics Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) Business Working Group and Professional Development Advisory Council; Grant Professional Association (GPA) and recently graduated from Empower by GoDaddy Program which provided a scholarship to start her Charity.
