Dave commenced his career in the Automotive Aftermarket in 1974 at the age of 16, working for his uncle sorting cores of every kind from brake calipers to starters. The company was called World Auto Parts, one of the largest core suppliers in the industry in its day. Dave held various positions over the years throughout the company, commencing in 1982 as a core purchaser, a position he held until 1987. In 1987, Dave formed a company with two partners, called Top Flight Automotive Supply. Top Flight was also a core supply company focusing on a full range of cores and components. Again, Dave was in core purchasing, traveling around the USA for new and used cores. In 1991, Dave had the opportunity to sell his shares in Top Flight Automotive and return to World Auto Parts under new ownership. At World Auto Parts, Dave was Vice President in charge of the brake division. His duties included the purchasing and the selling of new OEM brake products and used cores. In 1999, Dave formed Global Parts Source, dealing in new OEM brake parts and hydraulics. Dave’s partners were Steve Bearden of H.B. International Marketing Services and his partner George Halford. George has passed away but Dave and Steve continue their successful formula with Global Parts Source. In late 2016, Dave started DC Battery Hub to rebuild hybrid electric vehicle batteries. He uses Toyota specifications to remanufacture his batteries and the process he uses meets the Department of Energy standards as well as the standards set by Advanced Battery Consortium (ABC).
