Tim Folks, Senior Director of Customer Facing Systems, joined Advance Auto Parts in June 2006 as an enterprise architect and transitioned into IT management, where he was responsible for the company's architecture, middleware, and catalog systems. Beginning in February 2010, he oversaw both the business and IT aspects of cataloging and successfully led its final implementation. In September 2012, he left IT and today is responsible for professional e-commerce, store systems, cataloging, and merchandising operations. Prior to Advance Auto Parts, Folks owned an IT consulting and services company specializing in developing business solutions using IBM and Microsoft technologies.
