After I finished my studies in analytical chemistry, I started my career at DSM in The Netherlands and held various global management positions in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Operations and Environmental Health & Safety. After 25 years working for DSM, I switched companies and since April 2008 I've worked for Cargill as Environment, Health & Safety Leader. Currently my position is Global EHS Lead for the Animal Nutrition enterprise in Cargill which covers 260 production facilities in 25 countries. I'm based in Minneapolis, USA. After 25+ years' experience in Functional and Operational Leadership, I would like to describe my specialties and attitude as follows: Creating compliance by passion, belief, drive, initiative and creating connectivity; interacting on all levels in the organization; sharing and improving good practices; raising the bar and engaging the teams; proactive above reactive; coaching instead of telling; simplify big problems to manageable pieces; teamwork and engagement; relentless determination; positive attitude; glass is half full instead of half empty; creating fun in work.
