Barry S. Spurlock, Esq., CSP is a professor of Safety at Eastern Kentucky University, and a founding member of Safety Change Agents, a safety management and performance consulting firm. Barry still practices law, and is a member-attorney in his firm, Crump Spurlock, where he focuses his attention to representing employers in safety and employment matters. Prior to practicing law full-time and academia, he worked for over 16 years as a safety professional in the steel, food and insurance industries. He holds BS and MS degrees in Safety from Eastern Kentucky University, as well as a Juris Doctor from Northern Kentucky University. Barry has authored numerous books and articles on safety management and workers’ compensation, and he has been a regular speaker at national safety conferences for over a decade.
