The Importance of Class II to Tribes, Now More than Ever - Keynote Address (Room 29 AB)

Tracks: Class II Gaming

Many Tribes are currently in the process of or preparing for compact renegotiations across several states while other tribes continue to operate without a State compact and operate large scale casinos that provide jobs and revenue that allow Tribes to offer services and programs to their citizens.

Class II has been and continues to provide Tribes with an alternative choice to State compacts or as an alternate gaming source that tribes have the sovereign right to operate and regulate. With many tribes feeling unsettled about the future of tribal gaming post-election, Class II gaming offers a viable solution.

Our Keynote speaker Robert H McGhee will provide firsthand knowledge and insight into how Class II has played a major role in the growth and continued success of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians Gaming Operations.
