Every day, news is breaking of fraud and theft taking place in the business world. Since the early 2000s, a new focus has been given to the deceptive ways of individuals within organizations. Much of the theft that occurs in today’s business environment is a result of dishonest people that are employees, as opposed to the outside jobs we are accustomed to seeing. This seminar discusses some common elements that are often present when fraudulent activity has occurred. Identifying these elements and working to minimize their potential will inherently minimize the risk of fraud. Further, the seminar will address some specific methods which can help detect current deception that may be occurring, as well as deter employees from engaging in dishonest activity in the future.
