Iconic Evolution: The Superdome's Five-Year Transformation (Room 267-268)

The Caesars Superdome in New Orleans has been a leading sports and music venue for the past 50 years and recently underwent a 5-year, multi-phase renovation to keep it relevant for many years to come.  Key upgrades included the addition of multi-story corner atriums serving as grand entries and escalator corridors, wide viewing decks in the seating bowl to enhance ADA accessibility and connect the concourses and bowl, endzone bunker club and suites, 16 new elevators, expanded concourses and concessions, among many other improvements. Throughout the five-years of construction, the stadium remained operational, hosting full NFL seasons and other major events without disruption. This careful planning and phased approach allowed the Superdome to continue generating revenue while undergoing significant renovations.
