NADA 2022

SPECIAL WORKSHOP FOR EXHIBITORS AND OEMS: Federal and State Privacy and Data Security Update: What Dealer Vendors and OEMs Need to Know (Room LVCC, West Building, W222)

Special Session for Exhibitors and OEMs:  2022 brings the “Second Annual” workshop specifically designed for our valued Exhibitors and OEM partners.  This workshop is open to all Exhibitors and OEM staff, with particular relevance to legal counsel, IT staff, and any other senior staff interested in what to expect from dealers in 2022 and beyond.

2021 has brought tremendous change in the automotive privacy and data security landscape, with a series of critical and complicated new requirements and restrictions taking effect in 2022. Join NADA for a critical review and update covering changes in federal and state law affecting dealers, vendors, and OEMs. What are dealers now required to do, and what must they avoid? How must consumer and other data be protected and how can it be shared? What changes are required in vendor contracts? Do these new changes apply to me? What should vendors and OEMs expect dealers to require going forward?

This session will cover these questions and more, and will include presentations from Brad Miller, NADA’s Chief Counsel, Digital Affairs and Privacy, and other special guests.

It is critical that the entire automotive retailing ecosystem work together to address these critical issues, and NADA is again pleased to offer a workshop tailored for Exhibitors and OEMs.
