FETC 2020

C357 | The Key to Successful Technology Coaching (Room 246-247)

Diverse learners? Diverse coaching contexts? Need for something different? This research-based approach to technology coaching provides an answer to how to teach diverse audiences in different situations in a way where participants get the most out of the coaching session. The pace and way in which decisions related to the use and acceptance of technological innovations are made are significantly connected to the way that a person acquires information. This coaching strategy allows the instructor to take the needs of each learner into account by combining innovation diffusion theory with focus-oriented listening styles.    This presentation is aligned to the #CoachingCollab Certification. The Future of Education Technology® Conference has partnered with the Bagwell College of Education at Kennesaw State University (KSU) to provide attendees with the opportunity to earn a new certification, FETC® Coaching Collaborative Powered By iTeach.
