C023 | Transforming Teachers With Video-Reflective Practices: Empowered by What You See (Room 222-223)

Did you know it only takes a few minutes of video footage to capture a wealth of visual and auditory information related to classroom instruction and climate? Video-reflective practices provide an opportunity for teachers to make sense of what is noticed. The question is, ‘What should you be looking at?' This session provides research-based information to help cultivate reflective educators by teaching them how to distinguish between details and evidence. Additionally, this session provides essential tools in coaching teachers as they watch personal teaching segments with purpose, and learn to prioritize and analyze evidence in efforts to promote self-directed change to instruction and delivery style. This presentation is aligned to the #CoachingCollab Certification. The Future of Education Technology® Conference has partnered with the Bagwell College of Education at Kennesaw State University (KSU) to provide attendees with the opportunity to earn a new certification, FETC® Coaching Collaborative Powered By iTeach.
