Today's educational landscape is quite different from what we had in traditional class settings. Along with the new age technology that every school prides itself on using, today's students have their own devices and sets of expectations. Teachers have an obligation to reach all learners, provide choice, ensure collaboration and engagement, and prepare students for the future. This session's goal is to explore ways to engage students in BYOD and 1:1 schools through the the dual lens of educators and ed tech companies. The session will include recommendations of tools for BYOD and 1:1 schools, and an analysis of how to best approach and benefit from a relationship between educators and ed tech companies.
