Effective school and district leaders have a keen focus on and commitment to improving teaching and learning by supporting teachers and students. Yet, sometimes this focus and commitment can lead to overlooking their own professional needs. This #selfcare session encourages leaders to focus on their own practice by putting the tools and routines into place that will improve their efficiency, effectiveness, and enjoyment as a transformational leader. Through tool demonstrations, compelling stories, descriptions, and attendee interaction, leaders will find ways to participate in diverse and global learning communities, model effective communication and collaboration, provide just-in-time professional development to their staff, and stay abreast of educational research and emerging trends regarding effective use of technology.
