C025 | Virtual Reality in School: Enhancing the Pursuit of Learning (Room 226-227)

Attendees will learn how Virtual Reality can be used in the classroom and in afterschool events to enhance STEM programming as well as college- and career-readiness. Presenters will share their successful activities with various ages of students. Presenters will also share recommendations for avoiding pitfalls when using VR. Discussion will explore the use of Google Expedition and CoSpaces as 3D environments for enhancing topics, college- and career-readiness, and teaching 21st century skills. Resources will be shared so participants can begin planning their own VR lessons.
