Librarians not only provide information and resources, they are the keepers of the system of access to information and resources. This is becoming the realm of AI, the new access to data organization. If the library does not have an Amazon Echo or Google Home Companion (preferably both), it should have. Templates are great beginnings and librarians and students can work together — with or without code — to demonstrate mastery over the AI’s that restructure and enrich information gathering. No better time than now to master AI with students. It will only get more complicated. Get your school onboard and own a piece of the inescapable future of information before someone else grabs the reins.
