AAPEX 2017

Technology and Telematics Forum 5.0 Powered by CARS and ASA (Room The Venetian, Galileo 901)

The Congress of Automotive Repair and Service (CARS) and the Auto Alliance are delighted to bring the popular Telematics and Technology Forum to AAPEXedu. The forum will have a specific focus toward auto repair professionals, but has been widely attended by automotive professionals from all industry segments. Topics will include cyber security, Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) communication, vehicle data and OE technology.

By attending the forum, you’ll learn how to protect your business, customers, employees and life from cyber attacks, as it’s likely you have something of interest to hackers. Dr. Anuja Sonalker, founder of STEER Tech and cyber security expert, along with Donny Seyfer, Seyfer Automotive, will bring you the latest on cyber security and how to avoid being a victim.

Bob Redding, Automotive Service Association (ASA) Washington, D.C. representative, will discuss what’s coming to Vehicle to Vehicle and Vehicle to Infrastructure communication. A 5G expert and a GM On Star staff member also will be part of this popular presentation.

Data has long been a hot topic in the automotive aftermarket. Vehicle data brings with it responsibility and challenges repairers have not faced before. To answer the question, "You have the data now what?" will you do with it…… To answer these questions, Seyfer will moderate a conversation with two of the most interesting and thoughtful voices on the topic of data: Bill Long, president of the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA), and Aaron Solomon, Mobile-Devices in France. You’ll learn the responsibilities and challenges of logging and sifting through the data of vehicles producing a terabyte or more of data per day.

The forum will conclude with OE presentations on their latest technologies.

Don’t miss the 5th and best yet Technology and Telematics Forum powered by CARS/ASA.
