The illumigene® HSV 1&2 DNA amplification assay is a qualitative in vitro diagnostic test for the direct detection and differentiation of herpes simplex virus 1&2 in cutaneous and mucocutaneous lesion specimens. Testing requires <2 minutes of hands-on time and results are available in <1 hour for optimal patient care.
