Born in Vietnam, Kim Su Tran La (known affectionately as “Mama La”) emigrated to the US in 1980 with her husband and seven children after witnessing the Communist regime takeover. Armed with her extensive knowledge of Vietnamese cooking passed down from her family, Mama La managed to memorize over 250 recipes before finding her passion in the kitchen serving others. Her food quickly gained the following of thousands of fans along with the admiration and loyalty of many of Vietnam’s top restaurant cities.
