Founded in 2003, Powercast is the pioneer and leader of long-range, true wireless power-over-distance technology. The company's tiny Powerharvester receivers, embedded in devices, harvest RF energy sent over the air from either a dedicated transmitter or a typical UHF RFID reader. The embedded Powerharvester then converts the RF to DC to either directly power that batteryless device or recharge its batteries.
