Karl, a self taught artist, has been creating art in the form of bronze sculpture for over 25 years. He enjoys sharing the great outdoors, that he calls home, through his talents. His bright and spacious studio is nestled in the south east corner of British Columbia, where he was born and raised. He enjoys the process of creating a new piece, from the initial inception through to the final details that make his work so unique. He strives to create works of art that will captivate the attention of the viewer. When you look at a Karl Lansing piece of art and feel the life in the eyes, or hear the bugle of the elk, or smell the earth around you, then Karl feels his work is done.
Karl has been a taxidermist since the age of 12 and has therefore studied animals inside and out. This knowledge and ability gives him that extra expertise to create truly detailed sculptures. He has also worked as a guide outfitter off and on for 35 years. These walks of life combined, give him a constant saturation of wildlife surrounding him.
