THE COMPANY: Founded in 2007 by Swiss-born Heinz Rimann, The Tea Room is a homegrown chocolate company located in the Bay Area's Oakland, California.The Tea Room's trained artisans masterfully combine the naturally robust, unique and delectable flavors found within teas, coffees, and spices with that of chocolate. Front-runners in the introduction of infusion chocolates, The Tea Room Chocolate Company takes pride in its persistence and position regarding this new wave of flavor.
THE PRODUCT: The Tea Room specializes in infused chocolates or “Chocolate Fusions”. We have a line of 15 chocolate bars, all infused with a different organic tea, coffee, cold pressed essence, and/or spices. A line of 29 Chocolate Truffles, 15 of them the same flavors / infusions as our chocolate bars, as well as new and emerging lines of organic Drinking Chocolate Shavings, organic bite-sized Chocolate Drops, Chocolate covered Crystalized Ginger, slim bars and a brand new line of organic Loose Leaf Teas that match the infusions of our Chocolate Fusions.
AWARD-WINNING: Each selection from The Tea Room's line of 15 Chocolate Bars has won at least one award, often times more, with their Green Earl Grey dark chocolate & Chamomile & Honey white chocolate winning the silver sofi awards twice (commonly referred to as the Oscars of the food industry), and our entire line of chocolates received the highest honor of “6 Star Grand Master” by the San Francisco International Chocolate Salon, Taste TV & and their extensive panel of judges in 2012, 2014, & 2015 recognizing The Tea Room as “one of the Best Chocolatiers & Confectioners of America”. The Tea Room Chocolate Company has also received many accolades overseas including, but not limited to, Japan's Grand Prix award (we were only 1 of 3 companies to receive this honor and the only American company) and Paris' SIAL Innovation Award ~ on 2 different occasions, acknowledging our Chocolate Fusion selections as being on the forefront of innovation and excellence within the international chocolate industry.
