Mainstay Medical (www.mainstay-medical.com) is a European medical device company focused on bringing to market ReActiv8, a new Implantable Restorative Neurostimulation system that targets motor control of the spine stabilizing muscles in people with disabling chronic mechanical low back pain and who are not indicated for spine surgery or SCS.
ReActiv8 electrically stimulates the nerves responsible for contracting the multifidus muscles which stabilize the lumbar spine. Activation of these muscles aimed at restoring functional stability has been shown to facilitate recovery from CLBP.
