Hi. We are Heather and Liz, the founders of Zesty Cookie Company. We started in 2012 using a family recipe for a wonderful chocolate/cayenne cookie everyone loved. We have brought our version of this zesty treat (as well as five others) to you using the finest, consciously sourced, 100% natural ingredients. The same ingredients we use when baking for our families – absolutely nothing artificial. We do one thing and we do it well – we make delicious cookies, for the mature palate. Created with a hint of cayenne pepper, Zesty Cookies deliver a multi-layered flavor with a pleasing zesty finish. Our pledge to our customers is to provide cookies of unparalleled excellence, batch after batch.
Our cookie line up includes Hot Cocoa, Lemon Zinger, Espresso Chip, Hot Ginger, Double Chocolate Stout and Hot Apple Crisp. Below is a brief description of each of our creations.
Hot Cocoa: Our flagship cookie, the Hot Cocoa is based on a family recipe for a Spicy Mexican Hot Chocolate cookie! This chocolaty treat is most definitely a crowd pleaser!
Lemon Zinger: A truly refreshing sweet treat. The tartness of the lemon works beautifully with the “zing” of the cayenne pepper. The Lemon Zinger has mass appeal and is as delicious as it is gorgeous.
Espresso Chip: A twist on the traditional chocolate chip cookie, with dark chocolate chips and brewed espresso. Just a hint of cayenne joins the mix to create a cookie that is anything but ordinary!
Hot Ginger: We kick a traditional gingersnap up a notch with this one. The ginger provides its own kick of flavor, which is complimented by the kick from our signature cayenne pepper!
Double Chocolate Stout: Made with Newburyport Brewing Co.’s Joppa Stout in the batter. These decadent treats also contain dark chocolate chips to give them an intense chocolaty flavor.
Hot Apple Crisp: Made with Downeast Cider House’s original blend and gluten-less ingredients, we have created an oatmeal cookie that inspires images of apple crisp like mom used to make.
