Our Hudson Henry Granola is baked in small batches with great ingredients like olive oil, coconut oil, pecans and pistachios. We use all natural ingredients and sweeten our granola with Vermont maple syrup and a bit of brown sugar. Our granola is light, fresh and crisp. Our customers love the “good news and wisdom” on the outside of the bag, which features positive thoughts and motivating words.
We have been in business for almost four years and are in about 150 stores, including Whole Foods and Dean & Deluca. We are on the menu at the Omni Homestead Resort.
Our target market is women, 25 – 45. I must say though that kids love our granola and we hear lots of stories of granola bags being hidden from husbands.
As for marketing, we have a strong, loyal customer base and we get a lot of word-of-mouth promotion. We support our stores with product demos. In addition, we are active on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and pitch magazines on a regular basis. We were featured on The Today Show as one of Kathie Lee and Hoda’s favorite things after just 10 months in business. More recently, Hilaria Baldwin (wife of Alec Baldwin) posted about us on Instagram several times and Alec tweeted. Katie Couric was our most recent celebrity endorsement, tweeting about us early in January.
Our granola is available in 12 oz. bags, 3 oz. snack packs, and bulk. The granola is very popular with gift basket companies!
