Cuddoll Delights Kids and Empowers Women with Inaugural Line of Handmade Cuddly Pals

New York, New York, Date – The Cuddoll family is thrilled to introduce the company’s foundational line of handmade, organic, knitted stuffed dolls and toys. The collection highlights the Cuddoll mission, which includes utilizing sustainable practices that empower underprivileged women while providing safe, heirloom-quality toys for children to grow with.

The initial collection includes a variety of colorful stuffed animals, rattles, and finger and hand puppets. Gift bundles are available, and consumers have the opportunity to create their own unique Cuddoll. Cuddolls start at $14 for a two-finger puppet, and go up to $75 for a specialty stuffed doll. The original collection includes two traditional baby dolls – a boy and girl named Efe and Myra, in honor of the co-founders’ nephew and daughter.

“We still have our favorite dolls from when we were kids,” shared Cuddoll’s Chief Mommy Officer, Zeynep Oder. “It’s important to us that the children in our lives, Myra and Efe, get to experience that sense of wonder a toy brings out – and the sense of nostalgia that it inspires when they hold it in their hands and give it to her own children when they’re grown. At Cuddoll, we’re dedicated to making quality toys that will be handed down for generations. Just one Cuddoll can bring out those feelings in kids, moms, dads, aunties, uncles, and grandparents around the world.”

Cuddoll’s approach to manufacturing is two-prong: it helps women in the co-founders’ home country of Turkey by providing meaningful work opportunities, and utilizes the utmost care in selecting materials and developing designs. All products are knitted and assembled by a team of local artisans in Turkey. These handcrafters use cotton yarn that achieves the Global Organic Textile Standard and hypoallergenic polyfill to build each Cuddoll. In addition to utilizing carefully curated resources that meet the highest safety, environmental, and social standards, Cuddolls are specifically designed for kid-safety. All products contain no small, removable parts, and have received rigorous testing to meet US toy safety requirements.

The women who lovingly create each Cuddoll are women who needed a fresh start, whether they needed an outlet that would allow them to become financially independent, or were searching for a higher purpose in life. Together, and with the support of Cuddoll, these women are thriving as they find comradery and purpose in a creative atmosphere.

Didem Ayturk, Chief Auntie Officer, noted, “We’re so proud of our team of talented women who have helped us create something magical for the next generation of our family, and families around the world. What’s interesting is that all of these women have different hardships – whether it be financial, health, or another type of struggle – and yet they all connect like a family to support one another. They have become as tight-knit as the dolls they create, and we are proud to be a part of that family.”

A limited range of Cuddoll products are currently available for purchase in Cuddolland. This December, Cuddoll’s full range will be offered just in time for the holidays, including Dora the Deer. An Indiegogo campaign is in the works for the December release.
