Cubby & Co. began in a tiny Brooklyn studio apartment in 2017. Armed with a giant sketchbook, designers Jacob Smiley & Jennifer Kitchen, spent weekends in parks drawing greeting card ideas, trying to make each other laugh. After several of these excursions, the Cubby & Co. brand and voice started to take shape.
Wanting to be closer to family, they moved to Atlanta, where they shared their work at local pop-up events. The many positive reactions have motivated them to grow their line and begin reaching out to retailers.
