QinetiQ North America develops rugged and reliable robots in a variety of sizes and with varying capabilities that support warfighters, military police and first responders in critical missions. To date, TALON has been used in over 80,000 counter-id missions. Our LAST Armor (Light-appliqué Armor Systems Technology) provides high performance protection against ballistic attacks. It is used on a variety of military tactical vehicles including fixed and rotary wing aircraft and naval vessels. Both modular and permanent solutions can be easily installed without any tools. LAST Armor offers superior strength – five times stronger than commercial hook and loop products.
For RPG protection, we offer Q-NET. Q-NET is the most widely-deployed RPG protection system in the world and installed on over 14,000 platforms used in active combat throughout Afghanistan and Iraq.
Our family of EARS gunshot localization systems gives soldiers and military police the situational awareness necessary to respond instantly and accurately to hostile attacks to better protect themselves from snipers and other gunfire threats. Three options of EARS are available (shoulder worn, fixed site and vehicle mount): All three variants use the core EARS sensor, which is an extremely small, lightweight, low-power, self-contained gunshot detector system.
