Mount Inspiration was born of founder Evans Prater's 2014 Appalachian Trail thru-hike, during which he coined the phrase "everything you carry should be light," a quote he felt was spiritual, real, and definitely applied to backpacking. After his thru-hike, Evans turned that quote into a sticker, and that sticker into a shirt, and started creating more designs. Today the company only uses sustainable apparel to bring all Evans' designs to life, and donates 5% of profits to environmental protection non-profits like the Appalachian Trail Conservancy, National Park Foundation, and Outward Bound.
