Tohatsu developed the first small portable fire pump in 1949(VC-50, engine TBF-60, 3.5-horsepower). Today Tohatsu Fire Pumps own over 50% market share in Japan. Our pumps are a true fire fighting pump that can be used alone or on brush trucks to fight fires. The pumps may be hooked directly to a hydrant or attach the suction hose and draw from a water supply.
