Turboden, a Mitsubishi Heavy Industries company, is a global leader in the design, manufacture and service of Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) turbogenerators, which harness heat to generate electric and thermal power from renewable sources (biomass, geothermal and solar energy) and waste heat from industrial processes, waste incinerators, engines and gas turbines. With about 300 plants in 32 countries, Turboden offers turbogenerators from 200 kW to 15 MW electric.
ORC products are configured for either electricity only applications, where heat sources are captured to produce electric power or combined heat and power (CHP) applications, that produce both electricity and hot water, suitable for distributed generation.
ORC technology can be efficiently applied to different fields of application: exploitation of biomass, geothermal sources and solar energy, heat recovery from industrial processes, combined cycles with reciprocating engines and gas turbines.
