IntelliRoll is a conveyor roll that is a passive IIoT digital sensor! The sensed data is available through Modbus TCP over 802 11 b/g/n WiFi. Power is harvested from the rotating action by an onboard generator. The IntelliRoll is used to replace an existing roll in a conveyor and in turn sense;
* Weigh length weight
* Belt speed
* Temperature
* Flow rate (Computed from belt speed and weigh length weight)
* Angle of the conveyor
* Angle of the trough
It comes with a dedicated smartphone app available for both Android and IOS. There is also an app for both Windows and Mac.
A site PLC (or the dedicated apps) can write to the device to reset weigh totalizers and to dynamically update variables such as calibrations factors for both belt speed and live load.
Variations of Rated Output (Full-Scale Load) and belt speed are available. When ordering customers need to define the application belt speed, rated output, and roller width.
Current versions are available in both 152mm (6 inches) and 176mm (7 inches) diameters.
The device can work in a single autonomous mode or within group clustering of rolls that act as a virtual distributed weigh point.
