The American Victory Ship was launched in June 1945 and served World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. She still serves today as a nonprofit organization and national historical landmark. In addition to raising revenue through daily educational tours, special events, donations, and sponsorships, she serves the Tampa community as a training site for US Navy Sea Cadets, youth Scout programs, military, law enforcement, firefighters, first responders, and working dogs.
