Naval Special Warfare (NSW) is comprised of approximately 9,800 total personnel, including more than 2,700 active-duty Special Warfare Operators known as SEALs, 750 Special Warfare Boat Operations also known as Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewmen (SWCC), 750 reserve personnel, and 4,300 support personnel, and more than 1,200 civilians.
