The Special Operations Forces (SOF) Force Management & Development (FMD) Lessons Learned Operational & Strategic Studies Branch J9-DL consists of a network of lessons learned specialists and analyst at HQUSSOCOM, the components and Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOC). The primary objective of the SOF Lessons Learned Program (LLP) is to enhance joint capabilities by contributing to continual improvement of doctrine, organization, training, material, leadership & education, personnel, facilities, and policy (DOTMLPF-P). The practice of capturing and sharing observations, insights, and lessons (OIL) provides each command the ability to facilitate an active resolution process, affording our Warfighters the best opportunity for mission
