All of our species are wild-caught locally by small vessels and processed on the US West Coast, and are fully traceable back to the boat. Best of all, strong fisheries management efforts have ensured that these species are now abundant healthy resources that are available fresh all year round. They are certified sustainable by the Marine Stewardship Council and rated “Best Choice” by Seafood Watch.
Positively Groundfish is a non-profit with the mission to get more sustainable and (as yet) lesser-known fish species on American menus. We are a broad collaborative between fishermen, seafood processors, environmental non-profits and academia, all invested in having thriving and healthy domestic fisheries on the US West Coast.
