ALIAR is a federation of associations that have productive potential, is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to contributing to the improvement of the quality of life of Guatemalan farmers and their families.
ALIAR was created so that the farmers are the same exporters thereby reducing the marketing process of the products of the different productive groups members of Aliar. Aliar's groups work hard to reduce marketing intermediation
These organizations have small farmers in the area. The majority of farmers are small, independent indigenous producers of the Guatemalan highlands.
