The Volpicelli’s extra virgin Olive oil is characterized by a deep green colour due to the olives chlorophyll and to the “ polifenoli” which give a strong antioxidant power and many nutritional qualities. The grindstones of our oil mill, with the cold pressing of olives in a soft pressing process, as the ancient tradition of expert oil- millers, gives to the oil a rare fragrance for a product of excellent quality. What we are doing today with continuous improvements , with the care of olive groves, with the careful maintenance of the systems, combined with the cordiality and the humility in trying to do one’s best work, it makes us proud of our everyday efforts and it allows us to brave, always smiling, challenging of a market which is more and more difficult, but conscious to offer absolutely genuine Italians products. With extra virgin olive oil we produce: Creams: of olives Gaeta, green olives, artichokes, chilli, olives and lemon, olives and oranges etc.. The “Chestnut” of Segni (Rome) The Segni Chestnut can be identified by its oval shape and by its size, bigger than other varieties. The external colour of the peel is between dark brown tending to red, presenting a shiny surface with stripes of different shades. The inner pulp is very solid, and pale yellow in colour, and is extremely crunchy and pleasant to bite, whereas after cooking it keeps a softness tending to be flourlike. Its taste is particularly marked and palatable harmonizes when the peel is taken off and its fragrance of woodland groves exalts the rich flavour of its ones sweetness. These Chestnuts are cultivated and picked in our chestnut woods, selected and packed by family run business, deep among the woods in the green, ready to be tasted! And with the Segni chestnut we produce: Creams of chestnut.
