As a third generation family-owned and operated business, Astin Farms has grown to be the largest independent strawberry producer in the state of Florida. In 2001, the Astin family established Astin Strawberry Exchange, to market and sell their own crops. Ten years later, Astin Family Farms was established in Riverview, Florida, which would act as an additional packing and cooling facility. In 2018, Astin Plant Company was founded to integrate operations by growing nursery plants in North Carolina. Together, Astin represents more than 1,400 acres of strawberries and 400 acres of blueberries that produce over 60 million pounds of fruit each season. The berries are sold across the United States, and some exported to Canada. During the winter months you can expect to see Astin strawberries at many local grocery stores.
