Time Domain is a manufacturer of two types of wireless sensors. The first sensor type uses the speed of light to measure the distance between two sensor/transceivers. It has a operating range of 350 meters (1200 feet) and an accuracy of 2 centimeters. Applications include safe navigation of vehicles and robots, personnel tracking, autonomous vehicle follower systems, and precision surveying.
The second sensor is a
short range radar with a detection range out to 30 meters (100 feet). The device works well indoors and in highly cluttered environments. Applications include perimeter security, intrusion detection, safety zones, collision avoidance, and tagless tracking.
