Established in 1925, Trinidad State Junior College was the first community college in Colorado. With campuses in Trinidad and Alamosa, Colorado, we provide an affordable and accessible education to students in southern Colorado and beyond. In addtion to courses offered at a traditional community college, Trinidad State offers unique academic programs in fields such as Aquaculture and Electrical Line Technician. We are also home to one of the first, and by most accounts, the premier Gunsmithing School in the United States. Trinidad State was also the first NRA affiliated Gunsmithing school and began offering short summer courses during the summer over forty years ago. In 2014 we became the first NRA Certified Training Center in the country and still hold tthe distinction of being the only school with this designation. Our goal is to expand our outdoor educational offerings and we seek your input in this area.
