The LaserSpeed® Pro non-contact speed and length gauge offers better than +/-0.03% measurement accuracy and is an ideal replacement for contact encoders. It includes broad capabilities in connectivity, communication and control consistent with Industry 4.0 for easy integration into production networks. LaserSpeed Pro is available in a variety of environmental housings and is proven in numerous hot and cold mill applications including measuring elongation at skinpass and temper mills, measuring coil lengths on process lines, controlling bar/rod/tube mills, controlling torch cutter on continuous slab and billet casters, and position control for shearing operations, to name a few.
