Big Game Big Country

Big Game Big Country is owned and operated by master guide Dave Marsh and offers trophy hunting opportunities in 2 distinct and unique areas of Alaska. Remote backpack hunts are offered in the Brooks Range and within the boundaries of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge on a 795,000 acre guide use area. Grizzly bears are primarily pursued in June (considered spring in the Arctic) and Dall sheep in August combined with caribou and/or wolves. Offerings are normally 10-12 days in duration and are conducted with each hunter having his own guide. Moose and brown bears are hunted in Southwest Alaska where longstanding permits allow access to well over one million acres of prime big game habitat that also includes black bears, wolves, and wolverines. The first half of September is dedicated to the moose season while the second half of the month and well into October is the best time for a good brownie. Hunts are generally 10 days and are offered 2x2 during moose season or 1x1 for brown bears.
