Founded in Germany in 1957 by Josef Bresser, the company began by specializing in the import and distribution of binoculars. In 1979, his son Rolf Bresser assumed leadership and put BRESSER on the path to becoming a major force in the industry for technical development and design of innovative optical instruments. Since then, the product portfolio of BRESSER has been continuously expanded with a number of patents, and the company has become one of the leading suppliers of optical instruments in Europe.
In 2009, common ownership brought BRESSER and Explore Scientific together in a collaboration that has allowed both companies to expand their brands worldwide. This exclusive partnership has allowed BRESSER to access new markets and continue its rise in the global sports optics industry.
